Pack Point Nordic 2026, A conversation on circular packaging with Cecilia Wardström Larsen

Ahead of Pack Point Nordic on 21 May in Stockholm, industry magazine Pack Marknaden reached out to Wipak for a conversation about where packaging is heading next. Representing the Wipak team at the event, Sweden Sales Manager Cecilia Wardström Larsen shared her perspective on circular materials, customer needs and the role collaboration plays in moving the value chain forward. Below, we revisit that Q and A and highlight the key insights Cecilia will also be bringing to Pack Point Nordic.

Q: What products or solutions do you highlight at Pack Point Nordic and how do they reflect today’s trends?

A: At this year’s conference, we will highlight our latest solutions in circular packaging materials. The focus is on recyclability and materials with a lower climate footprint – areas where we see strong demand.
Our innovations are developed to support a transition that is sustainable, scalable and regulatory safe.

Q: What customer need or problem are you most focused on solving right now – and why?

A: Many customers are looking for guidance in their journey towards circular packaging that also meets high demands on function and product safety.
We therefore work closely with customers to combine sustainable material choices with stable production, efficient logistics and a reduced climate footprint.
Our goal is to make the transition to circular packaging as safe, simple and cost-effective as possible.

Q: What important challenges and opportunities do you see in the development of future packaging?

A: One of the biggest challenges is to increase the availability of recyclable materials and ensure that the value chain, from design to collection and recycling, works in practice.
At the same time, this creates great opportunities for new technology, better material choices and data-driven development.
We see that the packaging of the future will be more resource-efficient, more transparent and more integrated into circular systems.

Q: How do you see collaborations in the value chain changing, and what role do you want to play in that development?

A: Collaboration between actors in the value chain has never been more important. To achieve common sustainability goals, increased transparency, common standards and early dialogue are required.
We want to contribute by being an active partner, from consulting and joint development to sharing insights on materials, design and regulatory requirements.
Our ambition is to be a driving force in the transition towards sustainable packaging materials.

Q: What goals do you have with your participation and what value do you want to create for the industry and your customers?

A: Our goal is to contribute with concrete examples and insights that support the transformation in the industry. We want to inspire, open up for dialogue and show how innovative and practically applicable solutions can accelerate sustainability in the value chain. Above all, we want to give customers a clearer basis for decision-making to choose solutions that are good for the product, the market and the climate.

These questions and answers set the scene for Wipak’s presence at Pack Point Nordic on 21 May. With Cecilia Wardström Larsen and Carl Wellenstam representing our team, we look forward to continuing the discussion with industry peers and customers and exploring what meaningful progress in circular packaging really looks like.
