We’re excited to present Wipak’s third Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report – a detailed publication that reaffirms our steadfast commitment to sustainability. Released today, the report marks another milestone in our journey to becoming the most sustainable flexible packaging company in the world.
This comprehensive document outlines our strategic approach to sustainability as well as our sustainability performance throughout 2024. Ever since we launched our strategy in 2019, we have been continuously focusing on reducing the environmental impact of our company while adapting to the evolving needs of customers and consumers. This report features key results and case studies reflecting our progress.
Since 2019, we’ve been on a mission to reduce our company carbon footprint to zero. We believe we’re on track to reach this ambitious goal by the end of the year. Compared to 2019, we’ve seen a 54% reduction in our company carbon footprint. But that’s not all – we’ve also witnessed several other notable accomplishments along our journey:
🦺 73% safety improvement, demonstrating our commitment to a safe and healthy workplace.
💚 74% Wipak Spirit participation, illustrating the engagement and enthusiasm of our people.
🌱 90% of customer applications can be served with a GreenChoice by Wipak® solution, making sustainable packaging the new standard without sacrificing performance.
Looking ahead, we stand at the edge of something transformative.
In 2025, we will launch our new Horizon 2030 strategy: an ambitious roadmap built on collaboration, transparency and bold goals. This won’t be just a management document – it’s co-created strategy, shaped by the voices of over 100 Wipak colleagues across various departments and locations. Horizon 2030 will define our company’s purpose and direction, set even higher targets, and serve as a promise to all our stakeholders.
