Launched in May 2017, Wipak ProDirect® has brought about a digital revolution in industrial film converting. Combining premium quality digital printing with wide web, high performance paper laminate structures, ProDirect has defined a new industry benchmark. Created for small and medium-sized print runs, it is as flexible as our customers’ markets, providing customisable and digitally-printed wide web packaging solutions in an efficient and sustainable manner. Thanks to a fully-automated system customers can quickly and easily approve designs and order the quantities they really need, with short delivery times and low minimum order quantities, which reduces inventory, waste and write-off costs.

ProDirect is not just a revolution for customers, but it is turning industry heads too, having won the top prize in the ‘Machines’ category of the 2017 German Packaging Awards. Also recognized at the awards was our Carbon Neutral Stand-Up Pouch for Mar-Ko, which won a prize in the ‘Sustainability’ category. The second phase of this pack’s development saw our ProDirect technology reduce the product-related CO2 emissions even further than that which was initially achieved in the first phase. More recently, the Mar-Ko Stand-Up Pouch has won a 2018 WorldStar Packaging Award – a great result for the the Wipak team that helped to develop it and to the ProDirect technology which further enhanced the pack.
