Wipak is delighted to announce that its plant in Nastola, Finland, has been shortlisted as a finalist at the 2018, FlexoTech International Print & Innovations Awards. The nomination recognizes the quality of the printed work completed for Grilstad’s new product “Butcher Burger”.

Having previously won awards in 2009, 2010 and 2013, the nomination in the category “Flexible Packaging (medium web 801-1000mm)” is a great honor and demonstrates the expertise of the Nastola plant, and its ongoing commitment to the delivery of high-quality printing solutions in Finland.

Working closely with Grilstad, the repro-team at Nastola focused on the concept of “FULL HD Flexo.” Prior to printing, the laminate structure was carefully examined with the customer, as part of the R&D KETO project. To ensure Butcher Burger caught the eye the print used seven strong CMYK colors which helped achieve the required density and freshness of colors.

Working together in close cooperation has now not only contributed to the customer’s satisfaction, but also to Wipak again being nominated as a finalist at these internationally renowned awards.

The prize ceremony will be held in London on October 10th.
