Having a great HR department plays a crucial role in the success of any company. Let’s get to know Wipak’s HR specialist, Suvi Eskola!
What do you do at Wipak?
I joined the Wipak family at the beginning of 2020, and my first role was as a Cleanroom Team Supervisor. At the end of 2021, I moved to the HR team. As an HR Specialist, my field of work is broad. But to summarize, I could say my main priority is to provide support and guidance to our managers and employees regarding HR policies and processes, systems, and tools, enabling them to succeed in their work. I also coordinate and participate in recruitment, in addition to taking part in HR related development projects and ensuring excellent employee experience during the employee lifecycle.
What is it like to work at Wipak?
One word; Superb! I love my job and I am grateful to be part of a supportive and cooperative work environment. “Together” is the perfect word to describe my time at Wipak. Working together can lead to incredible results!
What are your thoughts on Wipak valuing sustainability?
Sustainability and responsibility are core values at Wipak, and we actively work towards building a better and more sustainable tomorrow through our actions. By taking responsibility for our actions today, we can help ensure a future that is filled with more opportunities for the next generation. I feel that I am lucky to be a part of creating a more sustainable tomorrow. Wipak’s values are close to my heart, and I am doing my best to ensure that they are reflected in our everyday work life.
What is something unique about you that not many people know? Do you have a passion, hobby, or a new skill you’d like to share?
Something unique, hmm. What some people don’t know is that I lived in South Korea for some time, and it was there that I first became inspired by Korean food. I could even say that I am really good at cooking bibimbap, and I make delicious kimchi!
