We are ending the year on a high, with another industry award to add to our ever-growing collection!

Our most recent accolade was awarded to Casino’s ‘Le Gouda Vieux’ design at the 2017 FlexoStars Awards Gala, which was held in Saint-Marlo, France last week.

“The design was recognised with a silver award in the ‘Flexible’ category,” explained Bernard Petit, Creative Design Manager at Wipak Gryspeert in France. “One of the key contributors was the total quadrichromy realization, which means the sample was printed in cyan, magenta, yellow, and black and white. Usually, an impression like this requires additional colours to obtain a satisfactory result which is similar to rotogravure, and sustained colours.

“Achieving a circular gradient is always difficult in flexo,” Bernard continued, “and we think the final result looks ‘fantastique!’”

The FlexoStar Awards are held annually by the French Technical Association of Flexography (ATF Flexo). They recognize the very best flexible packaging designs, produced throughout the year in France.
